Today, July 21, 2012, marks 5 years of when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (book) was out.
Deathly Hallows was released on July 21, 2007 in 93 countries, and 15 million copies of the book were sold in the first 24 hours after its release.
I haven't been a Potterhead for that long. I've only started loving it 2 years ago. I don't know, it just makes me wish that I had been in the fandom earlier. I keep imagining what it would feel if I waited for the movies and the books and repeatedly say, "I wonder what's gonna happen on the next book!" or "I wonder how the movie will go!"
But I realized that it wouldn't really matter. Because I believe that "The magic will never end." And you can join the fandom anytime because nothing will change. Everyone who was ever a Potterhead, I'm sure, will love it and will continue loving it. They'll make you feel as if you've been in the fandom for as long as them. As long you love the whole thing, you're a part of it.
So, from me and all the potterheads, thank you Harry Potter. Thank you J.K. Rowling. ϟ
Cheers!
