Valerie Chua

As I was strolling around the website of Fully Booked, I suddenly stumbled upon an article with an artwork upfront. It was an article about Valerie Chua. First of all, I haven't really heard of her, but after I saw her blog and portfolio, I was awe-stuck. Her artworks have that dreamy and whimsy feel to it.

About Valerie Chua:

Valerie Chua is a self-taught illustrator from Manila, Philippines, who has recently graduated with a BA in Humanities at the University of Asia and the Pacific. She specializes in traditional mediums such as watercolor, gouache and acrylic and is also skilled in traditional and digital mixed media and collage work. Her work is predominantly influenced by East Asian watercolor artists, magical realist literature and poetry.
