Too bad, your vintage cameras are only collecting dust in your drawers. Well, we've got a Tipster for you, how to let your cameras shine brighter then ever.
The Italian designer Tommaso Guerra is well known for transforming any kind of object to household items. When getting his hands onto a vintage camera, he couldn’t resist, he just had to transform it to a lamp:
Stacie Grissom just had to do the same with her vintage cameras. Some of her colored slides were quite useful, too.
How to make your own camera lamp:
Glue three cameras together. Put the glue onto the hot shoe of the lower camera.
While the glue dries, make sure the cameras align correctly. Affix them with tape to ensure this.
When the glue has dried, you can put the lamp shade on. Use glue for this.
Now you need some key rings for your lamp shade (10mm or bigger), pliers, puncher, developed and framed slides, and the metal construction of a usual lamp shade.
First you need to punch 4 holes in each slide. Make sure the holes align, so your lamp shade looks fine.
Affix the slides with the key rings and attach them on the metal construction of an old lamp shade.
And voila, your camera lamp is done!
